Let’s Work, Let’s Play, Let’s Live Together!

I, along with the Mothers and families of the Austin Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Incorporated, welcome you to our website. While visiting, you will have the opportunity to learn about our chapter and the way in which we engage with the greater Austin community.

Jack and Jill of America, Incorporated was established in 1938, in Philadelphia, PA, with the objective to provide children constructive educational, cultural, civic, health, recreational and social programming. With a focus on children ages 2-19, our village is one that builds confidence, cultural awareness, leadership skills and helps cultivate positive self-identity.

Nearing 70 years, we have served the greater Austin community, holding true to one of our aims, “To seek for all children the same advantages which we desire for our own.” Through our Biennial Beautillion, we have created a deserving platform for over 450 young Black Males, showcasing their achievements & talents, while providing leadership training, professional development, and numerous Academic Incentive Grants to aid in financial college support. With time & talents, we have supported both national and local non-profit partners like March of Dimes, the National Alliance of Mental Health (NAMI), Huston-Tillotson University, Ronald McDonald House Charities, Sickle Cell Association of Texas Marc Thomas Foundation and the George Washington Carver Museum and Library.

I am blessed to be the 32nd President of the Austin Chapter and most importantly, to serve the families of our chapter and community. As Mothers, we play a critical role in the lives of our children and it is an honor and a privilege to be entrusted with raising the next generation of greatness!

Long Live Jack & Jill,

Maureen N. Oyiriaru

Austin Chapter President, 2022-2024
